Great location, clean, comfortable and friendly
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful, super clean and comfy, ideal for a stay in the brilliant Galway, the music in the pubs is something else. Highly recommend this as a very convenient and friendly place to stay
Rory is a great host. The place is perfect for a family vacation in the area
The location is great, very close to the city center. Parking is easy, just in front the house and the continental breakfast is very good. The room is comfortable, the bathroom a bit tiny but the shower super nice. Rory allowed us to leave our car parked at check out while we spent a few extra hours in town which I found very pleasing.
Exceptional
The location was fantastic, I could nip in and out of the centre as I pleased. The breakfast provided was lovely, there was plenty of selection. The staff were really nice, I arrived early and although the room wasn't ready, I was able to leave my bag and be on my way.

The host was very nice and benevolent, the room was comfortable and clean. We had a good breakfast, with different options. The B&B is about 10-15min walking from the city centre.

I had booked a double room on the Avalon House B&B website, and confirmed with Rory via Whatsapp that I had booked a double room, only to be put in a twin room when I arrived. Rory did not accept any responsibility for the error and as no alternative arrangements were offered, I ended up having to pay for alternative accommodation elsewhere. The room itself is very poorly furnished, there wasn't even a bedside lamp or soap to wash your hands provided. It was an incredibly disappointing experience and Avalon House B&B is far too overpriced for the quality of accommodation and service provided.
I can't not say enough about the proprietor, his family, and every person who diligently and deftly clean and prepare the breakfast area for their guests. A perfect location next to Yeats College and minutes from downtown Galway - EYRE SQUARE. When you are traveling through the area, stop in and have true Irish hospitality at its finest.
Le petit déjeuner très sympa, lits plutôt confortables et l'emplacement génial ! Rapport qualité-prix ok pour la zone. Personnel assez sympa. Par contre une mauvaise insonorisation dans ma maison, dommage...
Avalon House was a great choice. Breakfast was great as it included a variety of foods. They even sent me away with hard boiled eggs as I was running late to catch the train. The staff were outgoing in asking if we needed fresh towels and called taxis for us. Very cozy and homey. Short walk to main area of Galway.
Rory is great Nice room.. Central. Intercontinental ballistic breakfast with boiled eggs..Wonderful press with all you need..Pancakes!!!
