Clean, cozy and comfy; but what set this place apart from others is the personal touch of the host. Rory was extremely friendly and very quick to respond. He offered great advice on where to eat and what to visit. I look forward to returning.

Avalon House was a great choice. Breakfast was great as it included a variety of foods. They even sent me away with hard boiled eggs as I was running late to catch the train. The staff were outgoing in asking if we needed fresh towels and called taxis for us. Very cozy and homey. Short walk to main area of Galway.

First off, the owners are so nice and accommodating. Our room was ready even though we arrived early. Coffee, tea, water, milk, biscuits available all the time. Breakfast was fully stocked with all continental breakfast items. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Shower was a bit small but most are in Ireland. Walking distance to Eyre Square/Spanish Quarter, although we did opt to taxi back after a long day which cost about โฌ10. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Galway.
